Building C, also known as Nugent Rise, is the last structure to be erected as part of a mixed-use development at 6-10 Nugent Street, Auckland.
Originally consented as an office building, Neil Properties Ltd requested an alternative layout that would sit on the already built basement structure and lift core. The new design for Building C has ground floor retail tenancies addressing the existing plaza with the remainder of the ground floor devoted to apartments and a further five floors of apartments sitting above. A total of 92 apartments vary in size and number of bedrooms, from: one bedroom (56-58m2); one bedroom plus study (67-91m2); two bedrooms (74-104m2); two bedrooms plus study (110-113m2); to three bedrooms (103-114m2). Decks vary in size from 8m2 to 41m2 with each deck able to be partially enclosed for all-weather use. The building is clad in a combination of raw concrete precast spandrels and aluminium composite panels. Aluminium joinery and glass balustrades complete the fabric. Deck soffits are lined in cedar paneling in keeping with the cedar cladding and screens of the adjacent Building A. Photos by Mark Scowen. |
